Signal Polls: Yes, no, maybe (yes!)

Signal polling: An easier way to see what your group chat really thinks and feels.

Find the best time to schedule a meeting, check dietary restrictions before dinner, and seek counsel on whether to text your ex.

Side-by-side screenshots of a new Signal poll being created on the left, and the same poll appearing in a group chat on the right.

To create a poll, tap the + button when composing a message to a group chat. Then fill in your poll’s question and up to 10 options for people to choose between. Once you make the poll, you can decide if people can vote for multiple options in your poll or just one. When you’re ready, end the poll to stop collecting responses by tapping “View Votes.”

Polls are end-to-end encrypted and only visible to members of the group chat, but poll responses are not anonymous and anyone can see who has voted for which option in a poll. Stand proudly in your choices and preferences!

Polls are now available in the latest versions of Signal for Android, Desktop and iOS which are rolling out now.
